Worthwhile way to spend the time? Making screencaps of all the episodes from season 3 of Deadwood. I've started with episode 3.09 "Amateur Night"...for no better reason other than that I was rewatching it last night for that fantastic scene between Bullock (Timothy Olyphant) and Wyatt Earp (Gale Harold).

It's really striking, how vulnerable it makes her look when she takes off the top hat. It really is so crucial to her character, her facade.

Also, I haven't a picture I can directly link to, but I also capped some shots of Sol and Trixie at the Amateur Night. They're sitting at the front of the crowd, literally like the major and his wife, the pillars of the community, cheering harder than anyone. :) It made me smile.

YAY for timing! I just finally watched this on dvd. I LOVE Timothy Olyphant Gale Harold together, wish there could have been more! Thanks for the caps.

Wyatt and Earp-Younger just kind of barrelled in, and then disappeared just as suddenly, but I loved their scenes with Bullock in those two episodes where we had 'em. The hostility-turned-mutual-understanding-and-respect between Wyatt and Seth was wonderful to watch.
