IT WAS IT WAS! I love those moments in the show, those ones where they successfully combine history and modern melodrama, with a heavy nod toward Shakespeare.
TWO EPISODES TO GO??? But I feel like the story has just gotten started! Livia(!!!!) has just arrived, A&C has just gotten together, and then two eps from now it's ACTIUM?
And what's with the subplot with Timon? You mean to tell me that just sort of circled and went nowhere? WASTING VALUABLE SCREEN TIME?
I LOVED Livia - she almost scared me more the Octavian, in this episode. How matter of factly and coldly she presented herself, to become his match. She's a fitting inhertor to Atia's mantle of first lady in Rome, and more than surpasses Atia in political instinct.
I don't know what's happened with Timon. But if that's the last we see of him, I couldn't be more happy - I've been fast-forwarding through his storyline for weeks now. Simply don't give a penny for what happens to him at this point, although I wouldn't be surprised if he and Herod are somehow woven into the canvas of the show's finale.
