I mean, keep in mind that this address was being given to a bunch of graduates and their parents who paid ~$45,000/year to send their children to a premier private research institution - they have to make everyone feel like they're destined for the worldly sort of great things. Whatever that means, I have no intention of doing most of them since I'm not that good a person.

I know I will! They will be more adorable than those kittens!

For that matter, I'm sure every institution of education says this to their graduate and their parents. As if to make up for the sticker shock or the actual shock or the trauma.

Well I wouldn't say by far. Kittens are pretty fucking cute.
