What Is Best In Life?

In my new role as work-at-home-writer-guy, I have generally been very meticulous about getting up in the morning, shower, dress, etc., and treating it like an actual job sort of job. But today, I'm slouchin' it. Pulled on jeans over sleeping clothes, no shoes, hair a mess, shave badly needed. Why? Because I can. Wahahahahaa ( Read more... )

Nothing beats walking around in your home, doing stuff, in only your boxers...

Well, maybe going around in your altogether... But I wouldn't recommend that if you're washing dishes or anything else that may include sprays of hot liquids...

Also, humanity lived on small meals for many millennia as hunter gatherers.
Big meals every day is a bit more recent thing.

Re: Inkygirl - speaking as someone who has lived with cats my entire life... Occasionally, you'll wind up with a group with more than one alpha (and with cats, the alpha can be either male or female). With more than one in the group, events will fall out one of two ways: either they'll fight it out - which, with domestics, can be a long, drawn-out process, since they usually dishonest about capitulating - or one will acknowledge being secondary as an alpha right away. But, since the domestic house-ape won't typically allow the defeated alpha to be driven off, that one normally reverts to pack omega.

Sounds like Fluffs and Inkygirl were both alpha potential, but Inkygirl backed off before it came to fighting. Once Fluffs left, Inkygirl came back to the fore. Sweets and Inkyboy sound like they're classic followers - betas, in pack parlance.

I am a great believer in extra meals. I almost always have elevenses, and where possible afternoon tea. (By both of these I generally mean 'coffee and a cake/Mars bar/several biscuits'.)
