The Problem With LotRO

So I haven't really played Lord of the Rings Online in any big way for the better part of a year now; basically, there was a short burst right after the release of Rohan, and then just signing on once or twice a month to pay for my character's house upkeep. Given how much I used to love LotRO, this gigantic "Meh" from me on the topic might seem odd ( Read more... )

For what it's worth, I only sign on to Lotro to do group content these days and, given how my kin is a group and raid grinding machine, I have fallen quite a ways behind them now. They're all showing off the cool new raid stuff they have and are always in a group, doing something, when I sign on that I feel left out. Which makes playing Borderlands myself all the more appealing. I had meant to go Raid last night, but getting the chance to do something with you was more tempting. :) Playing online with you was why I initially signed onto Lotro in the first place.

Well, I think I wanna mostly stick with BL right now in any case. I might level up a new warden at some point so I can figure out all the new stance-dancey mechanics, blowing tons of Turbine points on deed accelerators whenever I do. But until then, I'mma listen to the Siren song. ;)

Oh and btw, the whole superfluous thing isn't true at all. If you were going to come along and bring your champ, I'd switch to my burg. She's way less geared than Avenge is. And the run wouldn't be about who has what. It would be about showing you the content that you never get to see.

I'd suggest a free mmo like Wizardry Online but Wizardry Online is an obscenity to reality, in my opinion. Heh.

It is really bad... the sad thing is that they took everything that made Wizardry a Wizardry title...and then threw all of that away.
