OMG YOU NEED TO WRITE MORE I AM ON TENTERHOOKS HERE.

*cough* I thought the juxtaposition of grimness and Sherlock-style humour was done very well, and I could really picture this unfolding. Also, you covered the backstory well and I was literally like, "... arrgh!" when it suddenly became apparent that all was not as it seemed. (Is it supposed to be obvious why John figured it out, though? Or is it still a mystery?)

Thankyou! More is on the way, I promise- I'm just redrafting it. Aaand... it was meant to be obvious, but on reflection, that's my fault. It was an episode reference that gave it away, which was probably a stupid thing to go for. I'll see about altering it. ^^
