But first, a warning: I am currently baking something. You lot have about an hour to run away as fast as you can- and I'm being (kind of) serious here, I've already come close to causing a fire.
And now, for videos in which:
(
George Takei is awesome and gay, )

(That is, if I've not burned something essential by then, like the oven, or my house.)

Please be sending me some of those yummy, crunchy (what's a little burnt edges) sweets my way :D

Ranting is als gut- tis half the reason us lot are here, after all. ^^
I shall! It was a clementine cake I was baking today though, but I'll be sure to send you over the chocolate-coated orangey sweets I'm doing this week when they're done. :)

Anyway, George Takei is ridiculously awesome. "...one day, when you least expect it, I will have sex with you". Oh my God, I have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. The others were awesome, too. That Mock The Week... is that a TV show?

The guys off Star Trek are all awesome, I swear- between Takei doing that and Shatner shooting down a high-profile right-wing guy (I forget his name) on his show over the topic of healthcare reform, I feel quite proud to know that my childhood heroes are actually rather heroic in rl too.
And yes, Mock the Week is a BBC show in which the guys on the panel send up the week's news in a cloud of lulz. Some of it's less news-y though, but it's all great fun. Most of the clips of it online aren't UK-restricted, and I'd recommend you go have a look- I think you'd like it. When it's on, it's often how I get most of my news. (Yeah, I make for a great Politics student, ne?)

Awesome, I'll definitely be looking up more Mock The Week vids and there's nothing wrong with getting your news that way! That's still more news than a lot of people bother to watch/read. Me for one. I never liked watching the news because it's so dull and grim most of the time, but something like this, while I understand it's not all serious, spices it up and even presents it with a more open mind while making it very entertaining at the same time.
