Just been diagnosed with Temporomandibular Joint Disorder.

Basically, the joint connecting my jaw to my skull is swollen (I have no idea why- Wikipedia suggests either arthritis or teeth-grinding, neither of which is a problem I have), and the nerves in my ear, cheek, jaw and neck are responding by going OMGWTFBBQ and jumping on the inflammation bandwagon. Oh nook OSS. (Thank you, Autocorrect; I actually think that's much more interesting than "Oh noes".) I was really worried by what I saw in Facebook... I guess at least knowing what the problem is qualifies as the first step to improvement? :(

Oh you poor thing :( I had chronic TJD for about three years so I know how much of a nightmare it can be, I really really hope you feel better soon! <3

Ohhh that sounds awful, I'm so sorry love. But I'm glad you have painkillers and hopefully they can make you better soon <3

And I completely understand about tumblr being far, far too distracting - it eats my life like nothing else. I will go and follow you, I am facingfearfulodds and mostly fill it up with gifs and flail and the occasional bit of feminism, because I have no concept of a balanced feed!
