There are days when this sums up my feelings about politics. This is one of those days (what with that and the ACK FIRST WRITTEN PAPER IN FIVE DAYS NOT READY feeling I've got atm, it probably wasn't the best idea to start on Moodscope this morning. I got 19% on the test. 19.  I knew I wasn't feeling all that fabulous, but...)

On a brighter note, ( Read more... )

life, tales from the handbasket, politics, musicality, flist love!

I would say "some days I completely fucking despair of the world we live in," but it's more like most days. ajkfdlsjalfjdaaaaaa.

I don't even dare approach anything called "Moodscope" with the month I've been having. I didn't realize "May" was actually short for "May You Spend Thirty Days on the Brink of Madness!"

If there's one thing I know for certain about you, it's that whatever gets hurled at you, you can take it. *hugs*

See, I like to be optimistic. It's just that certain people seem to really, really enjoy challenging that stance. And when I say certain people, I mean so many people it's sometimes hard to see the decent ones through the fuckery.

*hugs* for the May stuff- here's hoping things work out soon. Either way, 4 more months and you'll be in the part of the UK that doesn't produce batshit like Dorries. That's got to be something, right?

RIGHT? Optimism is gradually ceasing to become a worldview and transitioning into a fight against logic and the sensationalist media. Also, everything is a conspiracy.

*hugs* And this... this is true. And I'm holding out for it to the best of my increasingly less-sane ability. XD

"If a stronger 'just say no' message was given to children in school then there might be an impact on sex abuse... if we imbued this message in school we'd probably have less sex abuse."

OK, IF I SQUINT, I THINK I CAN SORT OF SEE WHAT SHE MIGHT MEAN IF SHE DOES NOT MEAN SOMETHING HIDEOUSLY OFFENSIVE.

BUT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO SQUINT.

*hugs* And love for Lily Allen.

...that was pretty much my reaction, yeah. Gdi, Parliament, stop making me question my faith in humanity. I didn't like the Labour government much, but at least the backbenchers weren't batshit.

*hugs back*

Okay, I hear the quote was taken out of context and she was talking about 14-year-old girls being pressured into sex by their boyfriends... but if that's the case, it's extremely inappropriate word choice and she still deserves the flak for not being clearer about what she meant.

Ikr? This would make me consider just saying 'fuck it' and jumping ship for France already, but for the ridiculous 'poor DSK! it's a CONSPIRACYYY' stuff going on over there.

Thankyou! Do you have exams coming up, or...?
