#1. Spending even more time with my niece and nephew.

#2. Playing Harvest Moon: Magical Melody on the Wii. SO much better than Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. SO, SO much better. In like, every possible way.

#3. Playing Rome: Total War (again) on the PC. I'm playing as the Julii, and I just conquered Rome itself and took out one of the other Roman ( Read more... )

NOPE! But it might focus on Zuko. But it might not involve Zuko actually present in the picture.

AVATAR: TOTAL WAR?

I WOULD PLAY THAT GAME. AND I NEVER PLAY VIDEO GAMES.

WHICH MEANS THAT IT WOULD REALLY, REALLY WIN.

GOOD TIMES, GOOD TIMES.

I WISH SOMEONE WOULD MOD THE NEXT ONE IN THE SERIES WHEN IT COMES OUT (EMPIRES: TOTAL WAR).

Rome Total War...good times, good times. I am a fan of the Celts myself. Those Druids have save my hide more than once. And DOWN WITH CARTHAGE!

Anyway, I am not so sure about Avatar Total War. No archers, only a handful of bender types, only four factions...

On the other hand, crushing spearmen with earth tanks would fill me with nigh creepy levels of glee.

Celts are fun times. And man... yeah, Carthage stinks. They're easy to thrash.

No archers?? But what about the Yu Yan archers??

Anyway, I've actually written out all the different military types you could train, based on what we've seen on the show, and I think it's a pretty good list, even if it IS only a very few factions. But then, a lot of strategy games go for the trifaction model instead of opting for the massive numbers of factions like in Total War and the Age of Empires series.

You could build an even bigger list of unit types if you used, say, the FN weapon shop as a model.

And really, I would also add that the visual and tactical variety could potentially be larger than any of the Total War games so far, given the versatility of bending vs. just a buncha spears and swords.

Well, the Yu Yan are a small, commando unit, not a field support unit.

But....Ok, you have convinced me. Some kind of (serious) Avatar strategy would be very cool.

BTW, have you tried the avatar chibi strategy game? It is no Rome Total War certainly, but it is something.
