Metroid Prime 3: How does it fit in with the other Metroid games?

With Zelda, I always thought that coming up with timeline theories was a waste of time. Because clearly with the earlier games they didn't really care that much how well the games linked up, and then with Ocarina of Time, you've got friggin' time-travel, which totally messes everything up. There is a proper timeline out there, but it's just not...

You're definitely right about one thing: Samus is awesome. And as someone who has played through the entire megaman series from classic to ZXAdvent, I know a thing or two about not letting the plotholes bother me.

Yeah, and it's funny because the Zelda fandom gets all worked up over the plotholes... all they ever debate is timeline theory (well, that and shipping, but more so with Ocarina of Time).

I certainly love my games, but I have yet to play any of the Metroid ones... so I won't read your post yet. I can guess that it is made of awesomeness, at least! <3

I keep thinking of playing them, though. I'll probably get them all eventually, but do you have any recs on a good one to start with (only system I'm lacking is a Wii)? :3

Since you don't have a Wii, I'd get Metroid Prime for Gamecube! The first Prime is significantly better than the second one (Metroid Prime 2: Dark Echoes), IMO.

Then there are the 2-D metroids, I guess, but I'd get Metroid Prime.
