I loved the threat scene and how she wasn't threatening him over her friends, or her family, it was nothing but Aang. I loved it. Aang is hers and she was more than willing to let Zuko know that Aang ranks above everything, even someone's life, especially Zuko's life.

Loved it. She scared me. LOL.

Mmmm. YES. She thought of every way she could to communicate that she was willing to kill him AT THE DROP OF A HAT, as if he is no more insignificant than a bug. "Don't you touch my boyfriend!" <3

1. They built their buildings upside down, on the ceiling. Laughing at gravity all the way.

2. I kinda expected Toph to believe him, but she seemed to go a little further than that. Very touching. I hope they'll become friends.

3. Loved his impressions of Iroh and Azula. And talking to that frog. It was almost Sokka-like. "Why am I so bad at being good?"

4. I wonder what happened to Sokka's sword? I thought he'd discarded the boomerang for a sword. But it's cool that boomerang finally proved useful.

5. Katara scares me. There's a chance she could turn into another Hama.
I bet she's going to do a bit of enraged bloodbending on Zuko at some point. Girl hates his ass totally.

9. Haru, you need to start trying to mack on Katara to get her mind off of killing Zuko ASAP.

2. Me too! I was glad that it happened. I looooove the idea of Toph + Zuko friendship. <3

3. Haha, yes! Zuko was full of hilarity this ep.

4. I'll bet he didn't have it on him at the time because it's so heavy and he didn't think he would need it. But the boomerang is light so that's no trouble to tote around.

5. YES. I really hope that Zuko and Mai have a meeting under the full moon, and Katara discovers it. ; )

5. Even though I like Katara, and sympathize with her in regard to Zuko, I think she's really taking a dark turn now. In spite of clear evidence that he's sincere--taking on the CM and nearly getting killed, and her friends accepting him--she's still holding a grudge. And that bloodbending is bound to come back sooner or later. I fear she's going to give Zuko a dose of it for some very minor mishap. And then she'll have to deal with the consequences. Sure people are happy because it supports Kataang, but I think the dark, downright ugly side of her threat is being overlooked.

"Sure people are happy because it supports Kataang, but I think the dark, downright ugly side of her threat is being overlooked."

Word. I think so, too. And that goes for both the people that are happy because it supports Aang/Katara, and also the people who delusionally believe it supports Zuko/Katara.

Did you see Sokka carrying Toph away after they decide to accept Zuko? Awwwwww.

I was delighted by this episode!!! The only, teensy-weensy, nitpicky complaint that I have was that the Combustion Man's demise seemed a bit anti-climactic. But everything else (ESP. THE ZUKO/GAANG MEMBER INTERACTIONS = <3).

I did, but it didn't really register fully the first time I saw it because I was with Zuko so much emotionally. But YES. I loooooove the way Toph lets Sokka treat her. <3

Really? I liked Combustion Man's demise. I oohed and ahhed over his death, both times I saw it. I guess it's just a matter of taste! : D

My only nitpick is really that I wish the show was an hour long, because it can feel rushed. There was a LOT happening this episode, so they had to pull out all stops to streamline it as much as possible.

I found Combustion Man's demise confusing--at first I wasn't 100% sure he was even dead, I had to watch it twice. Also, it seemed a little anti-climactic that someone built up to be so bad-ass could be taken out by a boomerang to the head.

But, as I said, teensy-weensy nitpick. I LOVED this episode! Zuko was trying so hard and being so earnest it was actually painful to watch. I really felt for him when Katara knocked him down and made it clear that they didn't even want to take him as a prisoner. That must have been humiliating for him (that whole scene where the gaang rejects him was by turns poignant, humorous, and heart-breaking) and yet he held his temper!

I can't wait for him and Sokka to become odd-couple besties. But first I think he's going to bond with Toph... and she will give him a new nickname!!!! HEEE!!!!

Yeah, he was presented as SO SCARY in "The Beach." And he WAS... they even went with like, NO MUSIC and everything... it was very chilling.

I love that the boomerang was anticipated when a tiny little pebble went DOINK in "The Runaway" and knocked him out of commission temporarily.

Of course, really, all the Gaang would've had to have done back in "The Beach" is attack him from multiple angles. POOR TACTICS, GUYS. Hehe.

GAH. Zuko offering himself as prisoner reminds me of this amazing fic (by Rawles) that somehow anticipated like everything in this ep (Zuko prostrating himself as prisoner, Toph's acceptance of Zuko, Katara threatening to kill Zuko over Aang, and a bunch of other things I forget)

But YES... Zuko made himself REALLY vulnerable to the Gaang. Which, with his low self-esteem... well, it's not going to be easy, and Katara really hurt him there at the end.

I used to like the idea of Aang + Zuko friendship the most, but now I feel I am leaning more toward Sokka + Zuko and Toph +Zuko friendship the most. <3

Haha, and hopefully Toph will involve Sokka in her prankings! ;)

I cannot say this ep made my top 5, but I can say that I absolutely LOVED IT. <3
