._. I'm sorry about Raiu. I decided way back in the days of yore (translation: over two years ago) that he wouldn't really work in a relationship given his past and his issues. Working on the novel, I'm not even sure I can write him with Nakigoe in canon anymore. It's actually a relief to be able to write Will, 'cause it's like writing Raiu with different issues that limit his ability to be a freak who cuts everyone off emotionally. Not that he doesn't. But he's actually capable of acting like a human.
No, it's alright. I sort of feel at this point that Xanthe's the kind of girl who's destined to go after the guys she can't go after. It's her deal and she has to get over it, but it'll take a while for her to do that and meanwhile she's lost a friend. She just sorta hates herself for doing it so she can't remember anything without that.
