one of the things i wanted to read about when i finished the book was Childermass's relationship with his mother. you provide an intriguing glimpse, and your characterisations feel very true. quietly sad.

I was hoping to alter it a little, maybe make Norrell's reaction a little more brusque. Buuut- I dunno. @_@

Wow, that was pretty good. You paint a interesting and probably accurate picture of Childermass's childhood and Mother.
