Bloody Bad Timing, Seamus.

Dec 08, 2008 02:15

Maybe Seamus shouldn't have tried tackling such a dubious looking Death Eater by himself. Maybe Seamus should have stayed with the group. Maybe Seamus should have studied his Defense Against the Dark Arts a little more, but maybes and should-haves wouldn't really do him a whole lot of good at the moment, now would they?

"Fuck!" he swore to no one in ( Read more... )

And there was Michelle, smoking a fag (she only ever smoked when she was feeling something - desperation, in this case - extremely). She had never felt any interest in Harry Potter, so she merely looked at him amusedly, eyebrows raised.

"Well."

Seamus whirled on the girl, his wand pointed at her chest and his heart threatening to beat out of his chest in fear.

"Who the fuck are you?!" he demanded, shouting at her. He had to get back to Hogwarts! He had to help Harry! "What in the bloody hell have you done?! Why did you bring me here?! Where am I?!"

"Save it, fanboy," Michelle drawled out, stomping out her cigarette. "You're nowhere near where the fuck you want and need to be."

What?!

"Do you have any idea what you've just done?" Seamus asked through gritted, angry teeth. "My friends could all be dying right now, and I can't do a fucking thing about it so you'd better fucking send me back to Hogwarts right now or I'll hex into a billion pieces."

Not that Seamus knew how to do that. Why the hell didn't he try just a little harder in school?

Iphigenia was all bundled up and recovering from an awkward conversation with Roger by taking one of her little walks along the gates when she saw a young man who...didn't quite seem all there. Her eyes widened and she started a little, unsure how to approach him.

"...Um?"

Seamus turned to the small girl, his eyes wide. She was so young, surely she couldn't be behind this?

Harry had been young when he faced Voldemort for the first time, too.

"What's going on here?" Seamus demanded of her. "Why have I been taken from... My school?"

She could be a muggle, too.

"Well, I don't know." She shrugged, still a little frightened. "All I know is that you're here now. This is the Estates."

"The Estates?" Seamus asked, a little clueless. "Where the hell is that? Are we still in Britain?"

Well.... the body bind spell works. On Guinevere, the most harmless person this typist has in all her puppet rosters throughout.

She's frozen halfway, in the midst of running from one house to another - she was off to visit her friend Iphigenia.

Seamus's eyes widened. Where had the Death Eater gone?!

Still uncertain of who he should trust, Seamus kept his wand on the girl. "Who are you?" he demanded, approaching carefully.

T: So she can talk, but not move at all, right?

Provided her throat, vocal chords and her mouth isn't fully paralyzed... "I am Guinevere..."

T: Yeah, we'll assume that Seamus let up her mouth XD

Well that didn't help alot. It's not like he hadn't heard stranger names since he'd joined the wizarding world.

"Did you bring me here?" he asked, scrutinizing the girl carefully. She didn't appear to mean him any harm, but one couldn't be too careful in these dark times.

Johnny was behind him.

"Well, that's new." He laughs, quite a bit. "Is that what you guys do now on the old continent? Swear in latin?"

Yup, yet another muggle.

Seamus whirled around, training his wand on the guy's chest before he could process what he was saying.

"Right... Swearing..."

Muggle, shit.

Muggle from the future, actually.

"Yeah, right. I'm really afraid of that thing."

Johnny puts his hand in his pocket - he has a flick knife in there, not that it would be any use against magic, but.

"Look, I don't mean you any harm - so put that thing away and let me give you the lowdown."

Seamus bit back a laugh at the knife. He'd forgotten how warped muggles' views were of what was dangerous and what wasn't. He carefully put his wand away, anyhow. In easy reach, of course.

"The lowdown?"

Martha peered out from behind the tree where she had been sitting and thinking, thinking about how strange this all was.

She had heard him shouting, but she didn't recognize the voice. Everyone else she had met she already knew. Not this one.

"Hello?" she said, standing up and brushing off the dirt.

Seamus turned to this new girl, his wand still in his hand.

"Uh... Hello?" he replied, his eyes wide and he still wasn't sure what was going on.

"Oh, you don't know what's happening either! I only just got her too. I've only seen old friends; you're the first new person I've met. I mean..."

Martha blushed. Where were her manners? Her mother would be ashamed.

"Umm... hello. I'm Martha. Your name is... ?"

"... Seamus," he replied, looking uneasy. "Seamus Finnigan."
