I always thought that I was destined to some great romance, perhaps. Maybe one that took years to develop, with many flirtatious comments between myself and to-be-wife that would go unnoticed by one-another until some great and miraculous moment when we both realized we were entirely in love. I'm sure it will still happen. While fighting off Klingons, you and your wife-to-be's eyes will meet across the starship deck and you will realise you're in love, you've always been in love ...

I always felt that I had a destiny, but not a romantic one. I wish you the best of luck in fulfilling yours.

it seems to me that real lasting life long love affairs ARE epic (pun intended *smiles*) - they should be, it should feel that way to you, and if it isn't - maybe this isn't the person you want to spend the rest of your life with

when they aren't - I think people just got tired of looking and waiting for it, thought the big grown up thought "I'm not supposed to believe in fairy tales' and they settled for OK and comfortable, but not really the love affair they imagined it should be.

took me 39 years to find it - but it was out there

not sure if that's more of an offer or a threat, but either way, you have been warned.
