The Intro to Japan test... I thought it was out of 20 point? I hope its 18, that makes my grade much much better @_@
And I am so going to see Memoirs of a Geisha. I have read both that book, as well as Geisha, A Life and am still going to see it. I fully realize that it is inaccurate, filled with drama, and causes lots of drama, but I don't care. I love the actresses in it, and the cinematography looks gorgeous. Besides, movies are never accurate. Ever. But if you want to hate me for it, I understand ~_^
Well, I liked The Last Samurai even if it was very easy to pick it apart into historically inaccurate pieces. *shrug* I can ignore thee inaccuracies to enjoy the story, so yeah, I'm exited! ^_^
I hope to be able to speak a sufficient amount of Japanese for conversations with someone too!
I reaaaally don't like how the main characters in that movie are Chinese. It's so stupid that they got Zhang Ziyi to be the main character (especially since I don't like her). I mean, there are a few Japanese actors in there, but why couldn't they have played the main roles? I just don't get it... Not only is the book a crappy representation of biographical history, the movie basically slams Japanese-American actors in the face for not being famous or good enough for the main roles.
Sideway smilies are more for the mouth expression. Upright smilies are for the expression with the eyes. I like both. :o

I'll probably see it eventually, on dvd. I think the history things might bother me too much to enjoy it though..
Yeah, the test was out of 20 points...but the cutoff for an A was an 18, so that's what I meant.
