And lo, I sought out the only IMAX theater within 20 miles and got myself good and lost on the way there, but STILL managed to get there in time for previews for The Hobbit.

Thoughts on The First Nine Minutes:

A lot of the stuff from the trailer was from the first nine minutes -- which is awesome, because that means it doesn't give away the whole plot of the movie. - Yes! I had this exact same thought!

Going into it, I had this sudden thought where I was like, "WAIT - what if this ends on a cliff-hanger and I have to wait 5 months to see the rest?!" Then I was like "well of COURSE that's going to happen, and I'm going to see it anyway" and then at the end I was like "What have I done to myself?!" But it was worth it and glorious and hopefully I won't have a stress ulcer by May from thinking about it too much ;-)

I just like to imagine Spock making it safely back to the ship and his quarters, where Kirk throws his arms around him, then turns Spock over his knee and spanks him for being all "Don't rescue me."

Uhura watches with approval.

So, yeah, that's what's getting ME through the next 5 months...

I like how you think. Stealing your idea to keep me going until May...

Going to see The Hobbit with my nephew this weekend on the largest IMAX screen in Michigan. I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THE STAR TREK PREVIEW. Am beyond excited now.
