Well, lookee here. I have a spiffy new layout courtesy of beckyc_m and a brand spankin new mood theme based on gloryliberty's initial one

Just wanted to let you know I did get to watch the transitional 'Doctor Who'. I'm not sure, yet, if I'm going to like it. I was easily annoyed by a few things in it, mostly the Darlicts(sp?) and the Canadian guy running around in the leather pants. Now granted, I can appreciate a man in leather pants as much as the next gal, but wow...I just didn't like him.
I'll give the show the benefit of the doubt and just try out the David Tennent interpretation of the role to judge it. 'Barcelona..'
Guy in leather pants was Captain Jack. Don't worry about him, he's not in the new season (so far). You really have to see his character from the beginning to even begin to like him. The Daleks are something you just have to bear with. They are one of the oldest and most popular enemies and if you had seen the Dalek earlier in the season, you would understand them a bit more. I'm planning on buying the series when it comes out on DVD (July 4th) so I will lend it to you so you can get a feel for some of what led us up to that episode.
BTW, from the feedback I'm hearing on the communities, regarding Tennant's first season, I wouldn't get too attached to Rose either (frankl, I'm tired of her and ready to replace her).
Oh I see, Captain Jack above. I dunno....even with the nice abs, still doesn't redeem him. He's just a little annoying. And yeah, I'm not terribly fond of Rose either. She's over dramatic. Eggleston was too. But I like the story.
I think with the Daleks I didn't like were the voices for them. Irritated the hell out of me. And the possibility that these clunky phallic-symbols-on-wheels were such formidable foes. But like I said, I'll give it a few tries before I make a formal decision.
I'm not sure how to fix that. I am trying to adjust things to better suit my likes as I can but since I didn't create this layout, I can currently only do so much.
