What we have gathered from emails is the following: "Many people were were very hurt by Mari not chosing to tell them that she was coming to town". Now, besides the fact that Mari should not have to ask anyone's permission to go wherever she wishes, it really was none of the business of these "many people" that she was here at all. Especially our priestess (who said she was especially hurt) because she had said that she was on vacation and NO ONE was to disturb her for any reason. She then said that she was upset because she "was dissed after 13 years of frienship for a rude, obnoxios bitch who can't treat her friends better than she treats her enemies." Ooh, sorry we catered to your orders and forgot we had to ask your permission before travelling anywhere. Frankly, I can do without these "many people" in my life.

Yes, the whole thing is ridiculous. But there's no way she will stop feeling victimized and frankly, I was feeling that I wasn't being spiritually fulfilled with the group anyway. Oh well, whena certain someone moves down here soon I won't be a solitary again.

No one was to contact her while she was on vacation? How uptight is that?

Fully agreed on the fact that the lesson of the non-CGI animated Oscar will be lost on Disney. BUT, as I mentioned in my blog, John Lasseter (Pixar guy) is in charge of Disney's animated movies now, he's a HUGE fan of hand-drawn stuff, and he's using a project that's using outsourced hand-drawn stuff from former Disney staffers to try to convince the suits that Disney should bring it back. So there's hope.

(I know NOTHING about how the covern works so take what I say with a HUGE grain of salt).

It sounds like the vacation she was on was a Power Trip!! Any time you get a group of people around a little puddle of "power" forms. Some need to drink this and when they do they start feeling that they are better than the rest of us. The less self esteeme a person has the more they need actions like the ones you described to prop them up.

I love reading the words "church" and "dual membership" in conjunction with each other--after a detailed discussion of one's coven. Are these modern times occasionally cool, or what? (Mind you, dual citizenship was a direct concern while I was married to a furriner.)

I think you're right that the priestess would feel slighted no matter what you said or did; it's always a matter of time when you deal with people who are so sensitive about it. Still, it's unfortunate to have to deal with such unpleasantness, no matter how inevitable.
