Shot Through the Heart ...

This has been a really great weekend. Friday afternoon I ran some errands and then went over to friendstephen's place in order to save him from the dirty dishes that were attacking and threatening to overtake the apartment. After succeeding in washing all of his dishes (who knows how long it's been since that's happened), we went over to the Whoosier Network ( Read more... )

Oooh, I didn't know you were part of the Whoosier Network!

Michael and I like Mark G. very much. He's been very good to us.

As far my weekend, I'm getting ready to write up my New York Comic Con report.

I love going to the range! My BIL taught me to shoot a few years ago. He was surprised how well I shot (especially since the sights on his service revolver were messed up).

This was my first time with a handgun. I shot a rifle a time or two as a child (around the age of 5). However, I did a lot of archery whenever I could and was pretty good at it so I think that helped with stance and aiming basics.

I had a great time and can't wait to go back.

I'd probably be that way if it weren't for the expense. He's got a nice collection and is currently selling a few of them in order to buy a Glock 40 (which I can't wait to shoot).

I may eventually get a gun of my own but first I need to get my own bow again. I really miss archery plus if I do get back into it again, I can teach him to shoot as he did for me.

eh. you might like the Glock, you might not...there's really little wavering between love and hate for most Glocks. i have small hands, so i can't stand shooting them.

my little pistol and most .38SP revolvers, though? LOVE them.

The Glock we shot was a 21SF, which was just a bit hard to hold on target because it was a honkin' big .45ACP caliber gun. Last time I went to the range (without the_dark_snack, unfortunately) I shot a .40 caliber Glock 23, which actually fit my hand very well.

Unfortunately, if there are any unsold Glock 23s left in the United States, the stores that have them are keeping it very secret. Hopefully there are more winging their way over from Austria as we speak.

No matter. Until then I have several fun guns to shoot and there will be more trips to the range.
