Howdy everyone! I just wanted to post about this before I forget it. Tomorrow night several of us are going to see "Godspell". Which is one of my absolute favorite musicals. So far we've got myself, anjala, astria and possibly beldar. I gave friendstephen a call last night but he never called back with a yes or no as to whether he was interested. The show is free (donations are ( Read more... )

Would it help you to keep a small tape or digital recorder when she comes around your desk? They're pretty small and discreet. Could you catch her saying something hateful?

(Do you guys know yet when you're going to Rocky Horror? I hadn't reserved any tickets and I should probably be doing that soon. I wasn't sure if you were going the second weekend, Friday or Saturday ...)

We're planning to go on the 8th.

The problem with the tape is that her tone seems drippingly sweet out loud (the girls who can't see her have told me) but there's a lot of condecention in her body language and attitude. Plus, she pretty much whispers everything so it's hard to pick up her voice on a recording anyway.

Besides, I think she was shocked as hell that I didn't say a word to the boss about the incident this morning. She was right behind me when I went to him and had a surprised look when I left and she hadn't heard a word about her.

Plus, I'm feeling a lot better now and less stressed. I'm going to do my best to be the better person and smother her in kindness for all to see.

is it possible to talk to HR or enlist someone you are friends with to take note of exactly what she does when she interacts with you so you have a witness?

She's pretty good about not having witnesses and I'm not sure how much the other girl supports me. Also, I'm just a temp and she's actually employed by the company so I really have no recourse there.

The boss pretty much told me yesterday that I'm staying and she's going but none of that can happen yet. Plus, she's made a few major mistakes that have been noticed by superiors and the boss is not going to put up with that much longer.

*nod* I worked with a woman like that once. I was brand new and she would literally yell at me (but not the new guy) for every mistake I made.

I would, as you are doing, kill her with kindness and don't let her see any weakness/cracks if possible. and always, CYA.

It's a shame that work has to be like this sometimes...

Honey, I know how much you need this job, but is your health worth dealing with this uber bitch from the bowels of hell? I cannot stand people who are so...bitchy. She needs to have a "clue-by-four" upside her head.

*hugs*

Anj--who needs to open a "Oh no you didn't" can of whoop as on the irritating bitch

I'll check with Greg and see if we can make it, too. I'd love to meet you and beldar.

Wait what in the world? You guys are in Indianapolis - not Conway. ::is embarrassed::

My brother, however, is in Indianapolis. I'll let him know about it. : )

Please do. I'll probably be there in my yellow Jedi Jesus shirt. Have him say hi! if he comes.

Oh wow. Godspell is one of my absolute favorite musicals. And the only odd version of it I've ever seen was staged at my Methodist church... and Jesus was dressed as a young Republican. Aiyeee!

(But the rest of the cast were awesome hippies. :)

We've seen several vesions of the original script and a few years ago we saw an updated version where everyone meets in a chat room and the had cameras & TV monitors all around (they formed the screens into a cross for the crucifiction & did the good Samaritan as an episode of "Cops"). It was also really great.

We'd love it if you could come up here for the show.

I wish I could, but tomorrow night I'll be haunting Harrodsburg's Haunted House (every Fri & Sat. in Oct). :)
