*hug* I can give you the name of my dentist, he's probably about 15 min down the street from you and is a really nice guy. I haven't had any trouble with him. I'm not sure how reasonable his rates are, I haven't really priced around and I've been lucky enough to have some form of insurance lately. If fillings weren't done anymore then I wouldn't have any teeth of my own. I don't think I have any teeth that don't have at least one filling. I did have to have a crown last year because a filling fell out and that filling was big and deep enough that another filling would just fall out or the remaining tooth would crack. I have really crappy teeth *sigh*.
Also, you might look into the dental school at IUPUI. My brother got his wisdom teeth out there after he had gotten dropped from our parents insurance. I hear they're pretty cheap but you have to balance that against how comfortable you are with students rummaging around in your mouth.
If it makes you feel better, you're not alone on being broke as a joke. I found out my agency has not been taking out local taxes the whole time I've been working for them (since August), even though I filled out and sent the local tax form and confirmed with them that it's in my file. So my tax return that was going to be around $1000 is going to be under $400 and I also owe on state. All because of maybe $80 in taxes not being paid.
Plus, after the $20 in groceries today (thank you, Aldi!), I only have about $20, which I'll have to use for gas this week and hope I don't run out.
