We all went ice skaing today with some friends. The Wise One and The Goddess were both quite daring. I was proud of them, especially my Wise One, who generally shies away from physical feats he hasn't mastered.
Afterwards we went out ot an organic chinese buffet. Not great, but a very kid friendly place.

I had forgotten about the days of having to go to kid-friendly places.

Miss Mad is an ice skater. She started in kindergarten and used to compete in 2nd and 3rd grade, but now it's just for fun. She goes with her classmates once a week.

I was so pleased that TWO was so bold on the ice!
There were so many kids from school at the arena, I can see how wonderful it would be to go with friends once a week.

It is pretty neat. Almost half of the girls in Miss Mad Mermaid's class are ice skaters.

How fun! I'm glad that it worked out for you to go alone, as I was sorry that I couldn't make it. I would have surely had a better time with you guys (it sounds wonderful!) than I did--but that's another story...
