which I'm sure I got from reading an Ernest Hemingway book - 'there's only three real sports in the world: auto racing, bull fighting and mountain climbing'."

Okay, wow, I TOTALLY didn't know that one. I am quite sure. That's, that thing with "auto racing, bull fighting and mountain climbing"? He said that in the Name of the Game interview as well. So, um... Is he, like, just falling back on that one piece of fiction? Or does this really... is this really what influenced him? Is this actually what he wanted t do?

Hm.

Okay! This is really, really interesting. THANK YOU!

P.S. Hey, do you have a year for this one? I can't date it, I didn't know it at all.

Yes, I wanted to ask you for a tag.
I think 1996 would do nicely - ref. the top of the article? "Shift Magazine, December 1996" ?

I'm ... boggling at the idea of comparing Callum to Keanu Reeves or Michael J.Fox ...

Yes, strange idea. But then, he's been compared to James Dean, Brad Pitt, who else? I wouldn't have minded seeing him starring in Matrix though!
