every time i read this, i'm reminded of what awesome writers you two are. the little character things you put in here -- latvia under the bed, prussia and the opera, liet and the ulcers -- those are really hardcore writer things that prove you guys have spent hella time developing these characters. it's awesome. i love it.

Oh gosh, thank you so much! We are both big fans of showing what's going on in the lives of the characters who have to live around Russia and America's relationship, even though the boys are our primary focus. It's always nice to get the impression that there's a bigger world around the edges of a fic, you know?

Oh god the tension

Russia is going to have chronic nightmares for months. ._.

Holy shit, America, you can be such an ass! Poland, good job smacking him.

Poland was totally justified, but to be fair, these war games had been going on long before 1983. Russia had just never panicked, before.

Russia had just never panicked, before.

That is a goddamned lie as I think our archives can attest.

Oh wow guys. I can feel the tension just everywhere in the chapter. I love the little hints of how other people aside from Russia and America reacted, Poland and Prussia's conversation on whether or not it was an actual threat was just perfect. Though I must confess, Poland's bitch slap kinda made me giggle.

You guys are such awesome writers, keep on doing what y'all do~<3

I am always so thrilled to have any excuse to put Poland and Prussia in the same room. They'll just go. XD

Though I must confess, Poland's bitch slap kinda made me giggle.

I laughed out loud. I mean, America, sweetie, ow, but man, Poland pretty much spoke for Russia's entire household with that slap.

You write paranoid Russia very well. At least this time it's justified; dammit America. ><

I loved the inclusion of Prussia and Poland. I can't un-see them being a bickering pair during their time at Russia's place.

Well, we had the 50's to practice! XD

They have never not bickered. Ever. For a long time, their bickering even included swords.
