Poland, why must you be so amazing, seriously stop stealing all the attention when Russia and America are actually managing to get along. This was beautiful, I liked how there's still tension but at the same time they both managed to be adults about the whole thing. My favorite part was how upset Russia got that America ddn't answer his call.

CAN'T STOP SMILING. Oh, man. The Space Race is one of my favourite things in the history of humankind, and the way you wrote it made me squee so loud (good thing I live alone now). Well, our boys tend to fuck up more often than we'd all like them to, but Oh. My. God. What a beautiful (and hot) rivalry they can perform. My soul is overjoyed.

And, yes! Space Race! Space Race! The Space Race was srs business, no doubt, and it never would have happened without all the strain of the Cold War, but it's such a superultrahealthy manifestation of those tensions, the way me and Emily see it. Healthy competition and scientific progress which inspires the young and old alike > threats and posturing and pointing nukes at each other, guys! Stick with this! This is a good thing you've got going!

And Poland, I mean, he's a show-stealer. That's just what Poland does. He finds a show, and he steals it. There's nothing we can do.
