Sorry this one is kinda short, but keep in mind there are two more parts coming tomorrow ;) And omg, Luce kinda reminds me of the Fed, don't know how that happened lol
Idina and Kristin’s walk had ended an hour ago. They had made their way back to Idina’s apartment so Kristin could get her purse, and then she left, reassuring Idina that she would be there on Friday night.
Idina was slightly sad that Kristin had left, the blonde was good company. She smiled to herself at the prospect that she had a new friend in the other woman; she had been feeling pretty lonely without Luce around all the time now, which reminded Idina of the note from Ricky that was still waiting expectantly on her counter for her. She sighed, knowing that this wasn’t going to be good, whatever it was.
Hey baby,
I’m really sorry about that whole thing between us. I never meant for that to happen. I would love it if we could try to work it out, I miss you so much DeeDee. Give me a call.
Ricky
Idina groaned, obviously the man couldn’t take a hint. She was going to listen to Mark’s advice, for once in her life, and stay away from Ricky the scumbag.
******
“Hello?” Luce answered, juggling a very large stack of books with the phone pressed between her ear and shoulder.
“Luce? Hey, it’s me.”
“Dee! You remembered!”
“Of course.”
“Good thing too, cause I totally forgot.” Idina rolled her eyes, how utterly typical.
“How’s Trev?”
“He’s fine. And don’t roll your eyes at me.”
“How did you know that?”
“I’m the freaking Wizard of Oz.”
“Funny.”
“I thought so.” Luce grinned.
“What are you doing?” Idina asked, flopping down on her bed, she heard a large crash on the other end.
“Shit. Well, I was carrying a very large stack of books until about four seconds ago.” Luce sat down on the floor and started to restack the books.
“Why don’t you try dividing them into smaller stacks, Oh Great and Powerful Oz.”
“Because this way is so much more fun.”
“Guess who I got a note from today?”
“Barney?”
“Ricky.”
“No shit? What does he want now?”
Idina sighed, “He wants to get back together. He wants to work it out.” Idina heard Luce groan. “What? I’m not gonna do it.”
“That’s what you say now, but next week you’ll be calling him.”
“No I won’t.”
“Dee, you always do. You need to move on. Find someone else, please?” Luce almost begged her, Idina swallowed hard, knowing that she was right.
“I don’t know who to move on with.”
“What about blondie?”
“Who?”
“Kristin?”
“Kristin?”
“Kristin.”
Idina shook her head, “No. She’s not…and I barely even know her!”
“So? Get to know her. You never know, she could be good for you. Especially after your last few choices in love interests.” Idina bristled a little bit at that.
“No. Kristin isn’t like that.”
“How do you know? You just met her.”
“Shut up Luce.”
