Power is always overthrown.

Or simply overused.

I wonder how long these madmen shall keep this arch going. I am quite sure I am merely one out of thousands who are weary of their tricks

There's nothing we can do but fight back.

Even when the fight seems utterly futile?

...I agree with your logic. Might as well start clawing and biting like the hounds we are.

In in ancient Rome they built coliseums to house fights to the death between men. Sometimes they would also bring in animals.

It is possible that this city serves a similar purpose.

Or perhaps not.

I wonder how responsible, truly, these scientists are for loosing these beasts on us.

An interesting yet brutal concept of entertainment...
Yet, I do honestly do not think that is the overall plan behind these men's madness.

It would be far too simple, Tachibana. Far too simple.

The beasts are on prowl, again? I heard about a few building collapsing nearby but have not taken the initiative to investigate on my own.

Human nature procures the most fascinating dichotomies. The height of ancient civilization, art, philosophy and education, and brutal slaughter is a favourite form of entertainment.

It would be nice if things were simple for a change. But I have to agree. There is nothing simple about this.

Indeed, they've loosed the chimera. There are people trapped at the collapsed building however.

Brutal irony at it's best! It shows that us humes are still the beasts we once where thousands of years ago!

The chimera? A chimera?! I have heard of such fabled beasts before in my homeland, but I never thought I would actually hear of such a creature outside of the shores of Ivalice.

These scientists are sending their beast creation after us now, it seems...
I welcome it and the challenge it presents.

Perhaps I shall lend a hand to those in need, though I wonder where is my brother and his allies are in such chaos...

Perhaps he has been fallen...

I don't know if this is something the scientists had in mind, or if it is something that those monsters caused... But I'm too worried about my friends to focus on that now. All we can do now is pick up the pieces and move on, and do what we can to prevent something like this ever happening again...

More importantly, are you all right, Gabranth? You're not hurt or trapped anywhere, are you?

[-Slight static in the background-]

I know naught if this is the scientists' plans or not but I certainly would not put it past them to act so deviously now or tomorrow!
They are fiends like the chimeras that walk these streets!

[-Sound of rubble crumbling could be heard in the distance-]

I am fine...but many others are not.
I just arrived near Marshall Street, its utter chaos right now!

Nill, where are you!?

I am at the high school, Gabranth. I was lucky enough to have decided to start attending morning training today, and so I was here before any of this started happening.

A few people are being escorted here since this seems to be one of the few safe places in the city. I'm all right... But others are injured, and I'm worried about someone who may be trapped in Marshall. He lived on the first floor, and so I don't know what may have happened...

Please protect everyone, Gabranth! Escort them here if you can, but just do whatever you can to get people to safety!
