Got my computer working (sorta) again.  Still have lots of issues to fix with it, including my monitor not being able to display it's native resolution properly

Yeah, the firebird is developing problems. Nothing I can't fix with a little time, but this kind of driving is not good for it.

Just out of curiosity, how did she strike you as a dumb cunt? Or is that just to make me feel better.

She did strike me as dumb, but mostly that was me being supportive. She was too quiet, and when she did have something to say, it was all freshman crap I'd heard when I was a freshman myself. That might not mean that she was dumb, but young people have a way of appearing so; especially to those who are only slightly acquainted with them.

Seriously though, when shit happens to me, I'm not looking for my friends to take a balanced unbiased look at the situation. All I'd want to hear if I was in your shoes is, "Yo, fuck that bitch! Let's go sleep with her sister." So as a supportive friend, that's my stand, that's what I choose to say... Unless you just got back together with her. In which case "Hooray! That's a good woman you got there man. I knew all that shit would just blow over."

It wasn't a nasty breakup or anything, just more of a mutual agreement that she needs time to mature some more. I'm not feeling bad about it or anything, it's been coming for a while and its almost a relief to have it over with now.

Now we're basically friends with benefits. It'll probably remain that way until we both find separate places to stay, maybe longer, who knows. I'm not sure if I'm even interested in dating anymore around here since I'll be leaving so soon.

Actually, taking that class is going to set me back about $1000. I have the money, and enough to buy a $2000 car. Just barely though. I got that second job at a pretty key time.

Bummer. That was a sweet ride. You going to use it for spare parts, or just sell it to some sucker for $2,000?

I'm not selling it, just going to use it for highway driving. The problems it has now do not prevent me from driving it around, they're mainly comfort issues. $450 ($280 of which are two tires) and a few days is all it would take to have it running pretty well again.
