So I've decided that this will be a tour of my non-academic bookcase (there should be more, but ... long story), one book per shelf. It's largely sf/f, but there are other genres as well. The top shelf (with the exception of books I need to return to a lost love) are all YA, and so the first is the first volume of Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising
