So, I can't talk about this to anyone I know, but I just have to get it out there or my thread may very well snap:  I am freaking out!

I am freaking out because my roommates are inconsiderate.  I am freaking out because they made me miss my opportunity to resign with the place I am currently living, showed no remorse about that fact, and even now

I think a *hugs* is in order... even if it's the virtual kind. Unfortunately, I can't really give you advice (besides the cliches), as I'm just tiptoeing into the real adult world myself, but I hope things turn around for you.

If nothing else, I admire your determination to keep in contact with people. I used to be like that, but after awhile, I kind of lost hope that people even cared. Now, having friends of my own, I'm determined to find a way to be that person again. So as much as it hurts right now, don't lose that hope like I did... it makes you a better person.

Life is scary, and trust me, there's nothing wrong with treating LJ like a sanctuary. Just know that if you need anything, shout me a PM. You don't need to give details or anything, I'll just listen. It may feel like it right now, but you're not alone. And I'm willing to bet half your friends- list here is rooting for you.

Is there a way for you to find a roommate through your internship, like some sort of billboard? I know that relying on Craig's list can be worrying but maybe look around at the local colleges/universities--students are always looking for roommates.

unfortunately (and it's killing me to admit this) I don't really like the people at my internship. They've been like a high school click this whole time; they don't include me or reach out to me at all. Even so, I would ask, but they're mostly 30+ and not in the renting scene.

I will say that since posting this, I have managed to locate one apartment complex (a little further than I'd like, but beggar's can't be choosers) that is at least within my price range, especially if I opt for the studio apartment. So there is yet hope on the horizon! :)

I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles, hun. Try not to worry too much, I hope and pray that you find somewhere soon; somewhere nice, with a decent roommate.

I definitely understand where you're coming from. I'm coming across similar anxieties since I'm graduating college in 3 weeks. I hope an opportunity presents itself so that everything works out.

I wish I could give you some advise, but I don´t really know how sharing a flat works in USA, even though I guess it's like everywhere else. As someone has already told you, maybe you could find a roomate in your internship. It's worked for a few of my friends to ask about it where they worked.

hey, thanks just for the kind words. I'm keeping up the hunt, so I'm sure I'll find something suitable eventually. It's just hard going it alone like this. So I really, really appreciate the encouragement. :) I'll definitely keep you all posted on when I find a place.
