What's a "Chaos Emeralds"? Is it different from a normal emerald?

Chaos Emeralds are mystical gems that hold a whole lot of power. When all 7 of them are combined, a miracle happens.

But they're also dangerous... If greedy people get their hands on them, a lot of trouble could happen.

Well, they were guarded by a creature called Chaos. And it went out of control because people with greedy hearts kept trying to take the emeralds.

They can either be good or bad, depending on who gets them first.

Scoruge changed his name to make him diffrent from other Sonic's, what if his reasons for that was more than just having changed colour? How well do any of us actually know him?

I guess we don't, but you know what's worse than being stuck in a place with doubles of you? Being stuck in a place with doubles of you who don't even trust you. I think you'd be pretty down and out if we all decided you weren't trustworthy, Knuckles.

My point is: He hasn't done anything yet that I think would be enough to call him on being untrustworthy. Sure, he flies off the handle a bit, but so does the Knucklehead I know.

Six or more Emeralds kept together explosively warp, it was the origin of our yellow friend on the roof, keeping them ice cold or near the Master Emerald stops it from happening.

See, that's what I was thinking, but he said he found two, which would mean we'd have 8 emeralds and not 7, which really makes no sense. So I'm thinking I could just ask everyone if they have theirs still.
