Nobody sees what happens, but whatever bad idea Eliot had doesn't come off. They find him unconscious and apparently badly injured, but it turns out that he will heal without permanent injuries in no time. He has a concussion and total amnesia about what happened.

I just don't like Leverage. I tried to like it, but I don't. So I didn't hang in long enough to know the characters well and tell you did well or not with them. (I'm sure you did, but I don't want to watch another episode.)j
I liked your Tyler and his interactions here. It would make sense he'd have to make his next career move carefully and perhaps a little sneakily. People are probably talking about him as the mistress who screwed Manservant Neville into a vegetative state. (He could, too. He's got those sinuous hips.)
Anyway, I shall avoid a lengthy discussion of psychosexual dominance, and say it was well done as usual, but I don't think I'd be keeping up with it because I keep getting confused with the Leverage characters.
Please don't be insulted. It's been a hard year for my tv watching. MM was on, then gone in a blink, and the only other show I like was hovering on the brink of cancellation until they revamped it in a way that disemboweled the female lead. Maybe I'll just stock up on books.

(Although it should be noted that "Middleman" and "Leverage" had almost identical Bad Ass http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Badass scenes in their respective pilot episodes: one man goes into a bar full of heavily armed enemies, audience doesn't exactly see what happens but when the offscreen shooting stops the one man has beaten everybody up. To assess relative cool points levels, we'd have to know whether MM was holding the glass of milk the entire time.)
