The Boy is back to some of his old behavioral tricks at school, e.g. refusing to do his work. Things were going much better for a while there, sigh. Supportive Teacher is still supportive.

I must be a real writer, because I just missed a deadline. Self-imposed, but still. I was hoping to have the (clearly last) chapter of my Middleman fanfic in the ( Read more... )

BTW, I think the point is that cranberries don't kill microbes by acidity; they contain a particular chemical which tends to prevent bacteria from sticking to the interior walls of the bladder.

I have problems with UTIs now and then, and they SUCK. What's AZO? I agree that cranberry juice helps, but HATE the stuff, so I love that they now make cranberry capsules I can take.

"AZO Standard" is an over the counter medicine for UTI's which does a pretty good job on the inside-of-the-bladder-itching-to-death pain. It also turns your pee iodine orange, temporarily. Available in almost all pharmacies near the Icky Girl Stuff.

OH. Okay. Sounds like they made pyridium OTC rather than prescription required. Found out with my first UTI, I'm rather nastily allergic to the stuff. THAT was exciting...
