What was it with her meeting new arrivals with weapons lately? Cissie eyed the stranger and his gun warily then put her hands up to show that she was unarmed. It didn't seem like he was going to shoot her on sight or anything, but it was better to be safe and sorry, rather than shot and hearing a lecture from Bart or whoever.

"Believe me, things can get way stranger," she said. "But this place isn't too bad, really."

"Cissie King-Jones," she introduced herself a little sheepishly. "I guess I probably should have told you my name before I started overloading you with the weird stuff. I'm sorry. I've just kind of, you know, been used to this sort of thing and I forget other people haven't."

"Nah, it's alright." Trip was quick to wave it off, not wanting to her think anymore about it. "Best to get that kinda thing outta the way quick. Names can come later after yer sure the introduction will be welcome." T'Pol would be amazed that he'd learned something from all of Enterprise's first contacts.
