With the pregnancy sickness fully kicking in, Sonya had quickly developed a love/hate thing with the compound kitchen. She loved it in the fact that she could find food that was easier to prepare or already made, and yet during the meal rushes, there was always the smell of 'something' that made her nausea even worse.
Morning sickness my ass, she thought, though her expression brightened when she saw that someone already had the kettle on: ginger tea atleast brought some relief, and now she didn't have to wait for the water to boil.
"You're now my new favorite person on the island."

She didn't mind doing things for people, even strangers. She'd been quite serious about volunteering at Fanny's shelter.

"Just hot water is more than fine.." She wasn't really intending on getting a tea fix at the moment, not for black tea anyway. The lemon slices and honey caught her eye. "Won't say no to lemon and honey being added though."
She made a b-line for the pantry, searching until she came across the powdered ginger and brought it with her to the counter. The idea of lemon, honey and ginger seemed more like a recipe for a cough, but then she was so tired and nauseated she may as well have the flu.
