If there was one aspect of the island that Rizzo had taken a shine to right from the get-go, it was the clothes box. She'd never exactly been the patient type, but she didn't mind spending an afternoon sifting through the colourful, stretchy offerings. Every once and awhile a blouse or a skirt or a belt would appear that she could actually wear ( Read more... )

From the doorway, Paul gapes a little. Blondes have never exactly been his thing; Robin was pretty fucking redheaded, Tom's dark, but, still, he can't deny that it's pretty striking. He blinks.

"Wow."

Her eyes lit up when she saw him in the doorway, and she immediately struck a pin up pose, looking foolish and pretty fucking amused by it as a blonde curl fell over her face and she blew it out of the way with half-hearted concentration.

She looks pretty fucking beautiful, even though it's ridiculous. He grins, watching her, brushing his hair back from his face.

"Looking good, Bets. Permanent change?"

"Testin' out a theory." She said, straightening up and dropping the act, amused at the way he played with his own hair.

"You know, Pauly, there's a way to slick your hair back without primping it all the damn time." She grinned at him affectionately.

The sight of Rizzo in that getup brought a grin to Amy's face. She was never one who was adverse to a little fancy dress, especially when there wasn't much else to do. Her own journey towards the clothes box had been in anticipation of seeing what was there and possibly getting a new pair of shorts, though anything would be just fine.

Letting out a long wolf-whistle, she clapped as she hopped down the last few stairs. "Very nice," she cheered. "They'd have their hands full, that's for certain."

Rizzo flashed a smile at Amy, the white skirt swinging around her knees as she turned to face her. She made a show of adopting an innocent expression and cupping the curls gently on one side than the other, in the easily imitatable gesture of checking that they were still in place. She gave up the act with a laugh, propping a hand on her hip. "Why d'ya think that hair colours come with stereotypes, Red?"

The innocent expression brought a grin to her face, making Amy let out a short burst of laughter. There was something just so odd about it, maybe about the whole get up that made her want to laugh. In a good way, mind you, but laughter nonetheless.

"Because there true. Fiery and feisty redheads, blond bombshells without two brains to rub together, brainy brunnettes to fill in every bloke's librarian fantasy," Amy said with a bit of nod, ticking off such examples as she said them. "Marilyn, now that's good one. I think."

"You ain't kiddin'." She'd seen it in tons of movies, and in leading-ladies themselves, too. "Or blonde and enchantingly naive, peachy clean 'n keen. Sandra Dee, Doris Day, hell, this gal Sandy at good ol' Rydell."

She tapped a finger against her chin, a part of her mind wondering absently what she'd look like with one of those fake beauty marks, but really pondering the whole stereotype jag. "Well, Marilyn in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes insisted men prefered them to act dumb just to get a guy. You believe that?"
