"Thank you," he smiled faintly, appreciative of her compliment. Truth be told, he wasn't about to be personally satisfied with the weapon until it successfully landed arrows in the target with every shot, but that didn't mean he couldn't take encouragement when it was given. Pulling a small knife out from his woodworking kit, he sharpened the arrows more, preparing for another round.

She set her supplies down and walked over.
"May I?" She held out her hand to some of the arrows. She also noticed that not all of them made it into the target, and thought she could be of help to improve them. Well, that and she was fascinated with the weapon in general. She'd read some historical documents of 'rapid firing crossbows' before, but this was the first time she'd seen one personally. Her own long bow was nice for boar hunting and arm strengthening, but the practicality of such a creation wasn't lost on her.

Finally, he nodded. The crossbow itself, Zhuge kept close to his person, but if she wanted a couple of arrows to herself, Zhuge figured that they could be replaced well enough in time.
