It wasn't often that Jack actually had to go looking for Sam, considering they lived together and, well, did pretty much everything together (and when he put it that way, when had he gotten that domestic) but today it took a little bit of searching.
He wandered under a few trees, wondering if Sam had made her way into the jungle.
Sam spied him when he was a few yards away, and stealthily swung her foot up onto the branch so she could unlace her shoe. She had to be silent--her husband was ex-Special Forces, as he liked to remind her--but she could manage it as long as she didn't get the giggles.
She carefully calculated just how close he needed to be before she dropped the shoe, and managed to hold the giggles off until it landed squarely on his head. By then she had to hold onto the tree to keep from falling off, she was laughing so hard.
Jack looked up, mid-curse and about to go up and give the wise guy who thought dropping a shoe on his head was a good idea a talking-to when he realized it was Carter up there laughing like a fool.
"Nah," she said, pulling her other shoe off her foot and aiming with a grin. She didn't let it loose, though. "You'll live. That head's pretty hard."
She could never have teased him like this in their old life. Everything had to be carefully phrased and followed by a sir. Now, she could give him hell if she wanted to.

"I could have died, Carter. Very dangerous."
