It's not like Rachel meant to watch this go down. But come on? It's like live porn. It was practically in slow motion. Her shirt is all wet and she gives herself a tiny pinch just to make sure it's not some weird, erotic dream. That'd be perfect. Wake up all hot and bothered, dreaming about someone who isn't her boyfriend.

"No problem," she coughs, not even trying to hide her thin, wet shirt.

Well, now. There's another thing the hot weather is a charm for. Gwaine stares, a little blatantly, and lets out a happy little breath. "I think there's a problem," he admits, taking strides over to her. "I got you all wet," he says, lightly.

"Not sure I'd call that a problem," she comments, eyebrow raised at his...sauntering. "Anyway, you look pretty pleased with yourself. Almost like you meant for it to happen that way."

"Well, it's not the worst consequence in the world," Gwaine is forced to admit as he sidles closer and looks the woman up and down. "I don't think you and I have met," he says, sliding his hand through his damp hair. "I'm Gwaine."

Gabrielle loved the waterfall. It was such a peaceful place and it reminded her of all the times she and Xena had stopped in their travels to relax in similar places. In fact she was heading there for a swim and really she shouldn't have been surprised that someone else was there with the same thing in mind.

Yet she couldn't stop staring at the man who'd just pulled himself out of the pool. "Umm...no...no that's alright!" She said, finally composing herself. "I should have known someone else was going to be here."

"Laundry," Gwaine says, gesturing to the shirt behind him. His horse is braying nearby, but he's loosely secured her so she's not about to get away. He slicks a hand over his hair and looks over the woman slowly. "Surely you don't want to be completely without company?"

Laundry. Right. Though she wanted to take him at his word because then she wouldn't be the only one who did her laundry here. The machines were just bit much for her.

Gabrielle leaned on her staff and returned his look with a small smirk. "While I'd love company, I wouldn't want to get in the way of your work."

"Work? No work," Gwaine says dismissively, inching closer in order to properly meet and greet a woman. There's just no business doing this from a distance. He bows his head and reaches out for her palm to press a kiss to it. "Gwaine, at your service."

"Yes, you probably should've," Katniss says as she reaches over to wring the water from her braid. It's hard to know what she's supposed to feel about Gwaine given that she doesn't know how to feel about Gale himself, but this time her posture is far less tensed and high-strung. There was a slight, almost minuscule difference in the way they moved, something Katniss can only see because she spent years watching Gale in motion. And of course, the accent is jarring enough. She pulls a slightly sour face, not minding being wet but she'd hoped to mostly avoid people on her way to the forest. Her bow is strung across her shoulders, along with a quiver full of arrows and there's a game bag in her hands. Her free hand is holding a now-wet dead bird.

Wet hair and ruined game. A perfect combination for the start of a new day.

Gwaine grins at her and leans forward, feeling a little more on his game now that he knows it's Katniss. "Well, if you stick around, I can make it really worth your while," he adds with a flash of a daring grin. "Just hold still," he says.

She's immediately suspicious and doesn't even bother hiding it. Just because Gwaine happens to look like someone she used to trust more than anything doesn't mean that he gets the same privileges. There are precious few people that have her trust anymore and all of them could be counted on one of her hands. With her arms crossed against her chest, she keeps her gray eyes trained on him. "What are you talking about?"

Gwaine approaches even closer and he's still smiling as happily as can be, resting his hands on her hip and he bends down to catch her by the knee, picking her up in his arms as though he's about to take her across the threshold. "I think you ought to be a bit nicer to me."

"Perhaps," Zelda said, wiping her face but granting him a smile anyway. It was just a little thing, to get splashed, and it wasn't going to ruin her whole day. She had been through much, much worse than clean water before, after all, and it was hardly worth ruffling her feathers over.

"I will allow it though, since it looked like you were enjoying yourself. Pleasure should always be sought out, in my opinion."

Gwaine's grin becomes subdued for all of three seconds before he looks at Zelda and knows that maybe he can afford to push her buttons just slightly. "Well, with you around, pleasure does seem to happen a little more often. Milady," he greets with a bow of his head. "What brings you out to the falls?"

"Just aimless wandering," Zelda said, which was mostly true. She never really scheduled her days, unless there was a class she had to attend, and today she found herself with a fairly open day. "I don't often get this way and I wanted to do some exploration."

Gwaine would reach back for his shirt and clothe his body to be presentable, but it's still a heavy bit wet and it'd really do nothing for him. "Have you found anything to your liking in your exploration? Feel free to look, I'm hardly a shy man."

Which is incredibly irritating. Gale's on his way out to check the snares, boots loosely laced, shirt open at the collar. He pushes his now wet hair back from his eyes and...it's like looking in a mirror. Disconcertingly so. The voice is different.

Gale imagines that the scars are different, too.

"Katniss told me about you."

Well, now there's a way to greet a man. Gwaine turns and looks at the other man, letting his eyes roam up and down. He approaches and can't help a grin at how mad this is. It's like magic, pure and simple, something he can't explain but is going to enjoy.

"Hold still, I think I have something on my face in my reflection," he says, framing the other man like a mirror and brushing wet hair from off his cheek.

Gale looks distinctly unimpressed, shoving his own wet hair more cleanly back from his face. He shifts his grip on the game bag over his shoulder.

"You need to be more careful," he says, flatly.

Gwaine reaches back for his shirt and can't help a bemused grin. "And why's that?" he asks, considering he's never come up against a challenge he hasn't enjoyed facing. "Are you just as short-tempered as your friend? She's ready to snap everytime we speak, seems like."
