"Somehow, I don't think he'd like that." Gabrielle said with amusement as she watched the scene, leaning on her staff. "But if you want to get wetter, I'd certainly wouldn't protest watching that."
"I guess. Someone told me that men go to the moon and they use something called rockets to do it." She shook her head. "I'm just having a hard time imagining it. I was hoping if I could see one, it would be easier." She added with a shrug and a small smile as she scratched Duncan's ears. "Just think....to fly among the stars. It must be amazing."
"It certainly seems better than accidentally hitching a ride on an angry dragon's back," he snorted. That had only happened once to him, but once had been enough. If he never saw a high dragon again, he'd be happy. "Safer, I'm sure, too."
"Well, not so much ridden as accidentally been on it's back when it decided to take flight for a few moments to breathe fire," he explained, wincing at the memory. He had been lucky he kept a good grip, because he likely would have been thrown off otherwise. "It was very bumpy, as though for some reason it wanted me off. I can't imagine why"
"Still! That must have been amazing!" Gabrielle had seen a lot of unusual things in her travels with Xena, but a dragon...that was something beyond unusual and into extraordinary.
Realizing she'd been ignoring Duncan, she bent to kiss his forehead. "So, are you clean yet handsome?"
