She was.
Trixa was further pondering her options as she wandered the coastline, no real goal in mind, and lost in her own thoughts. So distracted was she that she didn't notice the kid sitting on the beach until she was almost on top of him. Unsure what to do, she simply stood and watched for a moment.

She moved closer and took a seat nearby, not so close as to crowd, but close enough to talk without shouting. Heavens knew as a bartender, she knew how to listen when it was needed and the kid looked like he could stand to talk about a few things.
"Or are you good just sharing your stories with the ocean? Which is nice, but she doesn't talk back very much."

"Do you always offer a sympathetic ear to every stranger you meet on the beach? You really out not to be so indiscriminate."

"Don't got a bottle of that tucked away somewhere, do ya?" Rizzo asked, hand on her hip as she stood in the sand looking down at him, winning smile out on her face.

"I hope you're not expecting top-shelf," he muttered dryly, holding the bottle out to her with a vaguely appraising look.

Reaching back, he produced the bottle from where he'd hidden it behind some rocks and handed it over. "It tastes like it was made in a dirty bathtub." That hadn't, surprisingly, stopped him from drinking it.

Shrugging, with more honesty, he said, "I wanted a drink, and I wasn't in the mood to sit in a bar alone like all the other sad, miserable drunks, so I came out here."

She realised (after taking a breath or three, when the black spots were fading from her vision) that somebody had actually hauled her out of the ocean, and it was all she could do to cling to him, her cheek against his shoulder as she tried not to swallow any more water.
