The first thing Sonya noticed that morning when she tried to get out of bed, was that she couldn't. Or rather, her head, nose and throat protested that she shouldn't get out of bed, but an hour later and she started feeling not just sick, but lazy in turn.
After dressing in shorts and a short sleeved blouse, Sonya found herself just outside the compound. The interior of the compound was too chilly, too stuffy and too crowded at the moment and the humidity outside made it easier for her to breath. Or try to anyway, between sneezing into the improvised handkerchief she made from a green bandanna in the clothing box, and the german cursing to herself. For whatever reason, she found the german was a better language to use for cursing, rougher and more gutteral than english or even russian.
It was rather ironic, she thought. While back home, she and every soldier in the military had been vaccinated within an inch of their lives, and yet she still manages to get the common cold.
Sonya resisted leaning her head back. She felt worn out, but for reasons she couldn't put her foot on, the idea of going back to the compound did not sound appealing.
ooc: Find her sulking somewhere just outside the compound. She's sick but trying really hard to look better than she feels. ST/LT welcome.
