Turning his attention to Vala, his gaze settled on her baby bump before sliding up to her breasts and eventually her face.
"Glory hole on the basement level. Those boys play rough," he quipped dryly, his tone level but not unpleasant.

"You should be more careful," I decided, tracing the mark with my finger lightly before I moved on to his hair. "I like this. Short. You look like one of the many men on the base. Honestly, military men have no creativity when it comes to expressing themselves."
I heard Jack mutter, "That's kind of the point," but otherwise keep quiet.

"My stylist said I needed to show more ear. He's a weird fetishist with a thing for lobes though, I probably shouldn't listen to him," he joked easily.

"The shirt's tighter than I'm used to seeing on you," she continued, admiring how said shirt looked as she walked around to his front, one palm going to his chest. "It's very-" Whatever she'd been about to say was cut off as she looked up at his face and caught her first glimpse of the bruise on his cheek. She lifted her hand to gently cup his chin, frowning as she turned his head slightly for a better look. "What happened?"

Just then Logan walked out. He recognised the look on the boy's face, and the bruise on it. It was like a cat who got into a fight with a bird too large to kill with one bite, but who fought and won. Mischievous but triumphant, or perhaps that was just what Harry chose to see.
They hadn't parted well last time - not well at all - but he still liked Logan a great deal. "'Llo, kid. You all right?"

"I'm fine," he replied, clearly suspicious of why Harry would care after their last run in with one another. Things between them had ended on a frosty note, and, if he was honest, part of the reason he'd been so pissy the last few days had been thanks to Harry comparing him to a puppy.

Their last argument hadn't left him unstirred either, but he had calmed down since. In the mean time, Harry cared, because Harry cared about Logan.
