HALLOWEEN BEGINS
The island had never done anything quite like it, though the island always did seem to come up with new and interesting challenges for them every time something it deemed a special occasion arrived. Every inhabited place - and, indeed, a few that weren't - seemed to be decked out in spooky decorations - or decorations that some would consider spooky, at any rate. It was... well, it was fun, rather than terrifying, which truth be told made it a welcome change from the previous year.
But even more exciting than the decorations were the boundless treats that the island had also provided. There were treats of all varieties, and something to suit every taste, though a person might have to visit a great many homes before they found just the thing they were hoping for. Or, if they were particularly ambitious, to get a little bit of everything.
There was going to be a lot of treating on the island today. Time would tell whether there would be tricking as well.
