She got up a bit after Marcus and practiced her piano warm ups, but it was so nice out she thought she might go for a walk instead. Marcus was probably in the compound having breakfast, and she'd find him in a bit, but for now, the beach was calling her. Even after more than two years here, she still had days of pure wonder at her surroundings and the peace she'd found.
Marcus did happen to be there once she arrived, and she smiled, approaching him and intending to accidentally fall over him until she saw him clutch something in his hand. At that point, she gave up on falling over him and merely approached him.
"Marcus?" she queried. "What's wrong?"

"Evey." He stood in one smooth motion and pulled her into his arms, being careful not to push the bar into her back. "I found something." he whispered softly into her ear.

"I suspect it is not something you wished to find?" she both asked and stated seriously. She wondered when the island would bring Marcus something. It had brought Teddy and V's knives to her, after all.
It must be a very small something, though, since she couldn't see it.

"It's a rank bar, part of the military uniform from home. It was half in the sand like it had fallen off, unnoticed." He took a deep breath to steady himself.
"This belongs to Susan."

"I just found something," waving his hand about to indicate the bar but not really slowing to give Tosh a good look "and I think it might mean someone who was once very dear to me has arrived on the island."
