Gunn didn't know it, but today marked his first year on Tabula Rasa. While he guesstimated that he'd been there for about that time, he had never taken to checking up on the calendar compulsively. "Kill him dead? Isn't that a bit redundant?"

It had just come out of her mouth, the old habit of correcting those around her, in a good natured manner or not had just happened. It didn't occur to Paige right away that sometimes people just going about their lives didn't ask for it, but when the thought did run through her head a moment later, she cringed. Looking up from her notes, her cringe turned a frown.

"Sorry, old habit and are those pigs?"

Gunn turned around to face the woman, a disbelieving smile plastered clear on his face.

"Didn't realize we were big on grammar here on Crazy Ass Island," he said, his smile turning into a smirk. "And yeah, those are pigs."

"I don't think a lot people are. It's the nerd in me," Paige replied, her frown turning into a sheepish smile. If Jubilee had been there, she would've been cackling. In fact, somewhere she probably was.

"Are they yours or does the island now have Wild Hogs?"

Gunn couldn't help but laugh. "Don't worry about it. It's cool." He shrugged as he spared a glance Hamlet and Ophelia's way.

"They're mine," he added, the 'unfortunately' unsaid but definitely unheard. "They belonged to a friend of mine who disappeared a while back."
