Chase had no idea what to make of the man in front of him, who just...Chase didn't know exactly, he just didn't look like anyone else and for a long moment he was staring before he realized how rude that was and he cleared his throat, offering a tired smile. "Hi?"

He had been staring and so it was easier for me not to stare at him because I did recognize him. It would have been hard for me not to, all things considered. I offered Robert Chase a kind smile after he finally replied. "Hi. I don't suppose this building belongs to you?"

Chase shook his head, giving a rueful smile. "No," he said quietly. "No, I just come here to pray once in a while and to..." To listen for God? To hope one day his faith would come flooding back in? He still didn't know and he doubted he'd ever know. "No, but uh, I know the person who originally built it and the priest who performs services?"

I couldn't help looking pleased by that, but I managed to keep it to a minimum and to nod appropriately. His faith or lack thereof scared him still, that much was obvious. I thought about touching his shoulder, but I knew that gesture would seem to familiar and so I didn't.

I glanced around instead before sighing in confusion. "Ah. Tell me. Where is this building located?"
