Rose had been surprised enough when the trunk had just appeared at the foot of her bed. It had happened several days ago, her foot slamming into it when she woke up and swung her legs over the side as she'd done every day since moving into her new hut. He'd seen her going by and despite his completely tattered appearance (hair not combed, shirt rife with dog hairs and dirt-stains), he'd figured he needed to at least ask what was going on. "Did I miss a party or something?" he asked curiously.

Rose giggled and turned around to meet Rob, shaking her head. "No, I just wanted to dress up a little. It's been so long since I've had a reason to! See, I got this present. This huge trunk, filled with things, clothes and all that. So I wanted to try some of them out. What d'you think?" She twirled a little for him.

Chase gave a long look to see all the parts (and try, while failing, to name some of them). "Definitely prettier than I could ever be," he said decisively with a nod of his head. "The stuff just turned up?"

Rose nodded. "Out of nowhere. I've never seen anything like that, not here." Other places, she'd seen stranger things, but the island had seemed pretty relaxed so far.
